01Who we are, and our approach
Solify is a business management workspace for freelancers and independent professionals — client tracking, invoicing, tasks, notes, and AI-powered business insights. The marketing site lives at trysolify.com and the application at app.trysolify.com. Solify is operated by an individual founder; when this policy says "we," that's who it means.
The short version: we collect only what we need to run the service, we don't sell your data, we don't run advertising, and your business records exist for exactly one purpose — showing your business back to you.
02What we collect
- — Account information — your email address, your password (hashed via Supabase Auth; we never store or see it in plaintext), your name and professional title, and any business information you add in Settings (business name, address, phone).
- — Content you create — client records (which may include names, email addresses, and phone numbers of your clients), notes, tasks, invoices, invoice amounts, and payment terms.
- — Usage data — a daily count of your AI assistant queries (used only for rate limiting) and your subscription status.
- — Landing page analytics — trysolify.com uses Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool that collects no personal data and does no cross-site tracking.
03How we use it
We use your information to run the service: showing you your own data, generating the AI insights you ask for, processing your subscription, sending the transactional emails the service needs (welcome, sign-in confirmation, password reset), enforcing usage limits, and responding when you email us. That's the whole list. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or build profiles from it.
04The services we rely on
Solify runs on a small set of infrastructure providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:
- — Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account and business data are stored here, in the United States.
- — Stripe — processes payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only customer and subscription identifiers.
- — Resend — delivers transactional email (welcome, authentication, password reset) and receives your email address for that purpose.
- — OpenAI — powers the AI assistant. This is the one worth reading twice: when you use the AI assistant, relevant business data — client names, invoice amounts, activity summaries — is sent to OpenAI's API to generate your response. Per OpenAI's API policy, this data is not used to train their models. If you never use the AI assistant, none of your data is sent to OpenAI.
- — Vercel — hosts the application and this website.
Beyond these providers, we share data only if the law requires it. We don't sell it to anyone, ever.
05Your clients' information
Solify is a place to keep records about the people you work with, so the client names, emails, and phone numbers you enter belong to third parties — your clients, not you. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to record that information.
On our side, the commitment is simple: we process your clients' information solely to provide the service to you. We never contact your clients and never use their data independently. The one exception: if you share a public invoice link, the person you send it to sees that invoice page — that's the point of the link.
06Cookies and local storage
There's no cookie banner here because there's nothing to consent to: this website's analytics (Plausible) are cookieless, with no personal data and no cross-site tracking. The app uses your browser's localStorage for preferences — your theme choice, onboarding progress, panel sizes — and Supabase stores an authentication token in your browser to keep you signed in. None of that is used for tracking.
07Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can export your clients, invoices, tasks, and notes as CSV files from Settings at any time.
Account deletion is available in Settings and removes your profile and business data. Some records may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before they're cycled out, and Stripe retains transaction records as required by financial regulations. If anything about a deletion doesn't go as expected, email us and we'll sort it out directly.
08Security
Data moves between your browser and our servers over encrypted connections (TLS). In the database, row-level security isolates each user's data — your records are only ever queryable as you. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-compliant. No system is perfectly secure and we won't pretend otherwise, but if a breach ever affects your data, we'll tell you promptly.
09Children
Solify is a business tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Solify evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or within the app before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
